A New Adventure
About a year ago, I began to get that old familiar feeling of restlessness, that always comes before a big change in my life. I had just completed the third book in my Zechariah Park series, Strong & Courageous, and was waiting for the coordinating activity book to arrive from the printer.
What was next? Would there be a Zechariah Park #4? It felt that perhaps the ZP series was complete or at least on hold. As I was praying for direction and contemplating my next steps, it seemed like every day I would hear about someone I interacted with on a regular basis who was struggling in so many different areas. I added each one to my prayer list but felt a stirring that I needed to do more.
My mind went back to January 1, 2022, when my Sweet Husband went to Heaven, and I began walking through my most difficult season. Even though there were many tears, disappointments and times of great loneliness, I experienced such peace and knew God was right beside me, protecting me and directing my steps. I was incredibly grateful to have grown up in a family and a church that focused on knowing and memorizing or “hiding in my heart” what the Bible said.
Focusing on God’s promises, His attributes and knowing how much he cared for me and loved me—even though my whole world had been turned upside down--was the only thing that got me through those early days, weeks, months, years and even today.
How could I share those promises of God with my family and friends who were struggling with issues of every kind?
The thoughts began coming and I knew I was to create what I wish I would have had during those early days of my grief. I began writing down the promises that meant the most to me and that is how my newest creation was born—Consider the Wildflowers—(Luke 12:27 NIV)
Consider the Wildflowers is 125 pages of coloring and activities designed to help you hide these verses in your heart and reminds us of the assurance God’s Word brings. God’s promises are front and center on each page and the layout allows the pages to be completed in any order. It was designed for adults but could help teens hide these scriptures in their heart as well.
I decided to open an Etsy shop to be able to share Consider the Wildflowers with anyone who was struggling or just wanted to color, do word searches, meditate on the attributes of God and hide these scriptures of comfort in their hearts.
Today my Etsy shop went live! I never thought I would have an Etsy shop but feel this is God directing my steps. Consider the Wildflowers is listed there as well as a Scripture Memory game for kids and an ABC Bible Verse book for toddlers. My plan is to keep listing different kinds of resources to help adults and children hide God’s Word in their heart.
I would be honored if you would visit my shop and like it so you can stay up to date on all the listings. More importantly, I am asking you to pray that the right people will be drawn to this shop and God’s Word will become real to all who visit.

If you visit, I would like to hear your thoughts and any ideas you have for new products that encourage knowing and memorizing God’s Word.
